Lost keys, borrowed cards and unlogged visitors are common weak points in office security. Biometric access control uses a fingerprint or face to confirm who is entering, so access cannot simply be handed to someone else.
Where it works best
- Server and storage rooms and other sensitive areas
- Main entrances where you want an automatic attendance record
- Stores, workshops and warehouses with restricted stock
- Staff-only floors in shared buildings
What to plan before installing
Decide who needs access to which doors and at what times. Plan for power cuts with a battery backup and a safe manual override, and make sure the system can be managed centrally as your team changes.
Combined with surveillance cameras, biometric access gives you both control at the door and a visual record of what happened.
